A flock of geese flying overhead reminded me to share one of my favorite resources with you. This Canada Goose unit study follows their journey south for the winter and their return home to nest in the spring. The first full moon of the year will light up the sky on January 3rd. The Wolf Moon gets its name from the sounds of howling wolves during the deep winter. This full moon is also a Supermoon, appearing bigger and brighter as it passes closest to Earth.

We are only a few days away from the first day of winter! The winter solstice is the day with the fewest hours of sunlight throughout the year, making it the shortest day of the year. Our family loves spending this cozy day with treats, crafts and a cold nature walk.
